Division 15 Mechanical has won six VRCA (Vancouver Regional Construction Association) Silver Awards of Excellence, and 1 Gold Award of Excellence, for projects over $3 Million. In 2016, Division 15 Mechanical also won the VRCA Member of the Year Award. These awards honor the region’s construction leaders in recognition of their exceptional attention to quality, teamwork, problem solving, and innovation.
The award winning projects included:
Southeast False Creek Community Centre (2010)
A 45,000 square foot community centre in Olympic Village with LEED® platinum status.
UBC Biosciences Building Renew (2011)
The mechanical scope formed a large portion of this $61.8M sustainable makeover to the Biological Sciences Complex, refurbishing and bringing the building to LEED® Gold standards.
UBC District Energy System Phase I (2012)
Phase#1 of the University of British Columbia’s steam-to-hot water conversion district energy project. Division 15 has since completed Phases 2 and 3 and is currently working on Phase 5.
The company has also achieved the Certificate of Recognition (COR) status from WorkSafe BC, a program that recognizes and rewards employers who take a strategic approach to workplace safety and are committed to reducing the human and financial costs of workplace injuries.
